Prayer with childlike faith

I always tell my son to pray and before his bedtime prayers he was once praying to god asking god to heal me from cold and then once he finished his prayer he asked me Mummy your cold is gone isnt it i asked god to heal you, and he believes that god would have answered the prayer immediatly, whereas we do pray but most of the times our faith is not so strong.
The other day he said he has asked Jesus to come home and he wanted to know why he has not come yet.
I told him keep asking god one day you will see him
God loves little children they are not complex like us they just beleive god and trust that their little prayers are all answered.
